The women’s lacrosse team rallied to win 5 of their final 6 games, with the only blemish a 10-8 road loss at #13 Limestone, to finish the regular season 9-7 and 6-4 in SAC play earning the number 5 seed in the SAC tournament.

Along the way she broke a 41-year-old school record for points in a game with 47 points, tied the school record for three-pointers in a game with eight, set new school records for games played, games started, and minutes played, and finished her career as the school’s assists

2024 CAVALIER AWARDS: Ross earned All-SAC Second Team honors as she helped lead the women’s basketball team to a berth in the SAC Tournament. #GoCavsGo

2024 CAVALIER AWARDS: This year’s Male Athlete of the Year is football offensive lineman Ethan Blank! Ethan earned All-South Atlantic Conference Mountain Division honors after a season that saw him allow just two sacks. #GoCavsGo

This year’s Freshman of the Year is Men’s Tennis Yi-Hsuan Chen! The Keelung, Taiwan native was 11-9 overall and 6-4 in SAC matches while competing in the number one singles position for the Cavs on his was to earning South Atlantic Conference Freshman of the Year honors! #GoCavs

2024 CAVALIER AWARDS: Coach of the Year- In his second season at UVA Wise as head coach, Howard began the first year sponsoring Indoor and Outdoor Track and Field. His impact to the athletic department and UVA Wise community has been significant. Congratulations Andrew Howard

2024 CAVALIER AWARDS: The Play of the Year Award-This award goes to Caitlyn Ross for her late game performance in leading the Cavaliers to a win at Tusculum, ultimately locking in their spot in qualifying for the South Atlantic Conference Tournament. Congratulations Caitlyn Ross
